support from the Exxon Education Foundation to encourage individuals to look at

Biographies of Women
Mathematicians - This award-winning web site hosts a collection of articles
(and pictures) about famous women mathematicians, both past and present. The
essays are written by students as part of Larry Riddle's on-going project at
the Agnes Scott College in Atlanta, Georgia.

Black Women
in the Mathematical Sciences -
This website contains profiles including Euphemia Lofton Haynes, Evelyn Boyd
Granville and Marjorie Lee Browne. In the 1940's, they were the first African American women to
get PhDs in mathematics.

Women Nobel Prize
Laureates - In 1903, only two years after the Nobel Foundation was
established, a Nobel Prize was awarded to a woman, Marie Curie, for the first
time. Women have been winning Nobel Prizes ever since.
- 4000 Years of Women in
Science - This site lists over 125 names from our scientific and technical
past. They are all women! This site grew out of the public talks given by Dr.
Sethanne Howard, currently with NASA. The information includes biographies,
photographs, and references.
