Grants.

for the AWM Sonia Kovalevsky High School Mathematics
Days.
- February 17-20, 2000 - AWM Scholars at the AAAS Meeting
- May 1, 2000 - Deadline for applications for
the AWM Travel Grants.
- July 9-11, 2000 - Puerto Rico Workshop in Conjunction with
the SIAM Annual Meeting .
- August 3-4, 2000 - AWM Reception and Audrey Terras will
deliver the AWM-MAA Invited Lecture at Mathfest, to be held at UCLA,
August 3-5, 2000.
- August 7, 2000 - In conjunction with the AMS meeting
Mathematical Challenges of
the 21st Century (UCLA, August 7-12), AWM will sponsor a talk by Carolyn
Mahoney, entitled Demographic Trends and Challenges for Mathematics, and
a reception to follow. Additionally, AWM President Jean Taylor and AWM
Member Karen Uhlenbeck will be two of the thirty distinguished plenary
speakers.
- September 1, 2000 - Deadline for
applications for the AWM Workshop for Women
Graduate Students and Recent PhDs at the 2001 Joint Mathematics Meetings in New
Orleans.
