Support the Association for Women in Mathematics (AWM) and its many programs by becoming a member.

The purpose of the Association for Women in Mathematics is

  • to encourage women and girls to study and to have active careers in the mathematical sciences, and
  • to promote equal opportunity and the equal treatment of women and girls in the mathematical sciences.

About AWM Membership

  • AWM's membership year is from October 1st to September 30th.
  • Members receive the AWM Newsletter six times per year.
  • Members are listed in the Combined Membership List (CML).
  • Membership is not restricted to women; men can and are encouraged to join!

Types of Membership

  • Individual members can join for only $55 and even less if you are retired ($30), part-time employed ($30), a student ($20), or unemployed ($20)! You can now renew your membership on-line!! (Click here for a pdf version you can print out and mail in.)
  • Academic Institutional members ($150+) receive free student memberships, one free online job link ad or one free Newsletter ad, discounts on additional ads of up to 25%, recognition on the AWM web site, and a subscription to the AWM Newsletter. You can now renew your membership on-line!! (Click here for a pdf version you can print out and mail in.)
  • Institutional Sponsors ($1000+) receive recognition on the AWM Web Site and in the Newsletter, a free online job ad, discounts of up to 50% on online and Newsletter ads, and free memberships.

Donations

Please consider sending a donation along with you dues to either of the following funds:

AWM General Fund
General funds go directly into AWM's operating budget to expend during the fiscal year.
AWM Anniversary Endowment Fund
Donations are restricted funds. Here only the interest earned is available for expenditures.
AWM Alice T. Schafer Prize
Donations are restricted funds which support the annual Alice T. Schafer Prize
